Volcanic Grounds

A journey through Santorini and Thirassia.

Ιn Santorini, wine begins with the soil. Volcanic ash, wind and sea have shaped a landscape of low, basket-trained vines (kouloura) and wines unlike any other. In September 2027, Apricity travels to Santorini and Thirassia to explore the world behind the glass: vineyards, local produce and the relationship between the land and the island’s table and culture. Through tastings, time among the vines and meals rooted in the season, we will trace how this demanding terrain has shaped Assyrtiko, fava, tomatoes and the life of the island itself. This is not simply a journey through Santorini’s wineries. It is an encounter with the landscape that made them possible.
